This is FASCINATING, Phoen! Everything from the shower experiment to the egg on the sidewalk (totally didn't realize you could do that) to the cookies in the car. Like, wow!

I bet her car does smell amazing.... So much better than those awful smelling car air fresheners! there might be a good business idea there!

I'm assuming the 'belly buttons' came from the area of the heat, as in, and bare with my simpicity, the area of the inside of the vehicle was too large, the period in which the were cooking was so long and the direct contact with sun light as oppose to heat alone would have cause the surface to harden and the inners to rise, causing your 'belly button'.

Just a theory.

Cooking things at a lower temp for longer periods of time dries them out more. OK to eat, just very crunchy.

Ew. I always wanted an Easy Bake Oven but I never got one. As an adult I thought about the whole bacteria issue when I finally found out that everything was cooked by a lightbulb. I'd think that it would be still be safer cooked by a Hyundai... but I still wouldn't try those cookies either.
